The LEI code is used to identify counterparties in financial transactions subject to reporting obligations in a simple, fast, and standardised way. It is uniquely associated with each applicant and cannot be transferred from one legal entity to another. 

The LEI code is mandatory, when conducting operations in financial markets, for businesses, investment funds managed by companies, pension funds, and other entities (such as Public Administrations, Associations, Foundations).


If you are acting as an intermediary or delegate, you must apply for a new LEI code by logging into your User Area. From there, you can also renew, monitor, and manage all your associated codes.
Please note: To complete the request, you will also need to upload a proxy form signed by the Legal Representative of the legal entity for which you are acting as delegate.
